Oct. 23, 2021
The Houston Astros won the 2021 American League pennant at precisely 10:38 pm CDT, Oct. 22, 2021, in Houston as Neptune was exactly conjunct the MC of 20 degrees Pisces and Saturn formed a semi-square to Neptune and the Pisces MC. (Pennants and World Series are won under Saturn transits; And the last out of a game that decides these titles are recorded as Saturn forms an aspect to an axis point, or an axis point forms an aspect to Saturn in the winning team’s natal birthchart.)
I expected the last out to be recorded under an aspect that highlighted the Saturn-Uranus square, which has been affecting so much of the current social unrest. But it turned out to be Neptune’s semi-square that delivered the pennant for the Astros. This is a reminder that baseball has a Neptunian function of bringing people together. Ironically, the Astros are arguable the most disliked team in professional sports due to the recent cheating scandal. It will be a Neptune challenge for the Astros to win over the public in the coming World Series. It will also be the public’s Neptune challenge to show some forgiveness for the Houston team. Their manager Dusty Baker, who was not involved with the cheating scandal, will have an interesting role as this Neptune drama unfolds.
