Reflections on Game 5: Why the Yankees Fumbled Posted on November 4, 2024November 4, 2024 By cesarlove We know how the Yankees blew a five-run lead. The interesting question is why the Yankees blew a five-run lead. Cole Doesn’t Cover First. Oct. 25, 2024 9:42 pm EDT The Yankees made three defensive miscues in the fifth inning of Game 5, which led to five unearned runs. All occurred under a bad aspect from Jupiter. The errors occurred as the MC near 20 degrees Pisces was square to Jupiter at 20 degrees Gemini. Such a challenging aspect from Jupiter tempts one to take one’s focus away from the necessary small things. One’s mind wanders onto bigger pictures. The three misplays were made while the Yankees had a 5-0 lead and seemed in control of the game, and possibly the Series, as the momentum has shifted in their favor. The first error occurred as center fielder Aaron Judge missed a simple fly ball. The second error was a throw from short stop Anthony Volpe to third base. The third miscue was technically not an error, yet it was a mental lapse as Yankees ace Gerrit Cole failed to cover first base on a ground ball to deep first base. Jupiter at 20 degrees Gemini formed a quincunx aspect to the Yankees Sun of 20 degrees Scorpio during the 2024 post-season. Quincunxes bring blind spots. What’s easily seen at 90 degrees or 180 degrees becomes lost at 150 degrees. A bright flash or a brain fart keeps you from seeing what’s right in front of you. Gerrit Cole’s mental lapse was not the Yankees only one in Game 5. The Yankees also suffered a balk call on pitcher Luke Weaver and a catcher’s interference call on Austin Wells. New York Yankees Nov 13, 1900 9:34 am EST New York Earlier in the World Series, the Yankees had a crucial mental lapse on defense. In Game One, Juan Soto’s poor path to a ball hit by Kike Hernandez allowed a triple. Hernandez soon scored on a sacrifice fly by Will Smith. If Juan Soto had taken a prescribed path to the ball, the runner would not have gotten to third base and probably kept from scoring. Game One will be remembered for Freddie Freman’s walk off grand slam in extra innings. But the Yankees likely would have won it in 9 innings and Freeman would never have come to bat had Soto not made this mental lapse. LA Dodgers April 1, 1874 10:35 am PST Los Angeles The Yankees would break down in the Fifth Inning with Jupiter square the MC of 20 Pisces, but that same MC was exactly conjunct to the Dodgers Mercury. The Dodgers took great advantage of Jupiter at 20 degrees Gemini, which was square their Mercury in Pisces, sextile their Venus, and semi-sextile their Pluto. A Jupiter square to one’s natal Gemini is generally quite disruptive to one’s concentration or attention to detail, but it proved benefic for the Dodgers. The despositor of their Mercury is Neptune in Aries. The Dodgers survived and thrived under this square because their Neptune was grounded through the World Series. The recent death of Neptunian figure Fernando Valenzuela, under squares from Pluto and Mars, provided an anchor to their Neptune. Freddy Freman, who played the Neptune/ Pisces position of first base, would thrive in this Series under these aspects and earn the Series MVP. In Game 5, Jupiter’s energy was perhaps stronger than in the Series’ previous games because of its trine to the Moon in Libra. The first run of Game 5 occured on a homerun by Aaron Judge at 8:19 pm EDT as Jupiter was exactly conjunct the Ascendant. In Games 3 and 4, Freddy Freeman also hit First Inning home runs with the Ascendant conjunct to Jupiter. Blogs #baseballastrology#dodgersastrology#sportsastrology#yankeesastrologyworldseriesastrology
