Eagles Dominate Super Bowl Under Moon-Mars Conjunction Posted on February 18, 2025February 18, 2025 By cesarlove An astrologically poetic moment occurred at the end of Superbowl VIX. Above the City of Brotherly Love, at the precise moment the game ended, the Moon was conjunct the MC and also exactly conjunct the Philadelphia Eagles’ Pluto in Cancer. Super Bowl VIX Ends 10:17 pm EST Philadelphia, PA Super Bowl VIX was played under two strong conjunctions: Moon and Mars conjunct in Cancer, which gave strength to the Eagles’ defense; and the Sun conjunct Mercury in Aquarius, which thwarted the Chiefs’ offense. Philadelphia Eagles July 8, 1933 noon chart (Time of birth unknown) Philadelphia, PA The Eagles birthchart has a natal conjunction of the Sun at 16 degrees Cancer and Pluto at 23 degrees of Cancer. During the Super Bowl, these planets became extremely powerful as they absorbed the energy of the conjunction of Mars at 18 Cancer and the Moon between 20 to 22 degrees of Cancer. It is my thesis that the Moon and the sign of Cancer rule a football team’s defense, specifically the defensive line; while Pluto and the sign of Scorpio rule the defensive secondary, the cornerbacks and safety. I have yet to perform the necessary research to “prove” this theory. But assuming it is correct, a team whose birthchart contains a Sun-Pluto conjunction in Cancer would have a naturally strong defense. The defense of the 2024 Eagles, however, became especially powerful under the transit of Pluto in early Aquarius conjunct their Moon in Aquarius. Pluto conjunct a football team’s Moon could bring a death and regeneration to the entire defensive unit. Indeed, this is what occurred to the Eagles’ defense in 2024 as their defensive coordinator Sean Dasai was fired after his unit’s disappointing 2023 season, a season in which he was even stripped of play calling duties. (Dasai was fired on Jan 21, 2024 with the Sun and Pluto conjunct in Aquarius and both conjunct the Eagles’ natal Moon.) Vic Fangio Aug. 22, 1958 noon chart, Philadelphia, PA A few days later on Jan. 25, 2024 with the Moon in Cancer and conjunct the Eagles Sun and Pluto, the Eagles would hire Vic Fangio as their new defensive coordinator. Pluto’s death and regeneration continued as players were let go. A new defense emerged that consisted of eight new starters including two rookies at the cornerbacks. The coaching of Vic Fangio is credited with stymying the Chiefs offense in Super Bowl VIX, particularly frustrating their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Fangio’s unrectified noon birthchart does not show obvious resonance with the birthchart of the Eagles, yet it does reveal deep Pluto energy. His Sun conjunct Pluto and Mercury reflects his deep understanding of football defenses particularly the role of the secondary. Fangio’s strong Pluto energy would become manifest as he regenerated the Eagles’ defense, symbolically bringing it back from the dead. Kansas City Chiefs. Aug. 14, 1959 10:50 am CST Kansas City, Mo. The birtchart of the Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, tells the story of Super Bowl VIX from the loser’s perspective. The Chiefs experienced a challenging opposition from the Sun-Mercury conjunction of 21 Aquarius, which was directly opposite their natal Sun of 21 degrees Leo. I speculate that the Sun in the chart of a football team rules the quarterback. Indeed, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a miserable Superbowl under this difficult transit. He was sacked six times and thew two interceptions including one pic-6. Interestingly, the Chiefs won the previous Superbowl when confronted with a Solar opposition from 23 degrees Aquarius. But that opposition only included the Sun, not the Sun and Mercury; and its orb was roughly two degrees not less than one degree. Under that weaker opposition, Patrick Mahomes would bring his team to victory and even be named the Super Bowl MVP. The memory of Super Bowl VIX will likely fade. Blow-out games, with lopsided scores such as 40-22, are not remembered as classics. But the poetry of the Moon conjunct the MC in Philadelphia when the Eagles won it deserves to be remembered.
